The Institute for Agrofood and Fishery Research and Training is an independent body with its own legal personality and patrimony that belongs to the Department of Innovation, Science and Enterprise of the Andalusian Regional Government.
Its main objective is to aid the modernisation of the agricultural, fishing and foodstuff sectors in Andalusia and make them more competitive.
Hinojosa del Duque Agricultural Research and Training Centre (A.R.T.C.) in the province of Cordoba, which belongs to the Technology, Post-Harvest and Agrofood Industry division of the Institute for Agrofood and Fishery Research and Training, has for some years now been providing training, innovation, consultancy and technology transfer measures designed to help cattle farmers, producers and technicians involved in the dairy industry to improve their professional qualifications and make their companies more competitive.
